papers returned; scotland votes; china invades

Got my very worn passport returned. No problems but embassy says I need to replace it soon; it’s as worn and frayed and stained as a passport should be,  I think. I can’t tell you how many bodies of water it’s been in, and so even the cover identification has been worn away. I’m proud of my passport’s weathered condition; art reflects life.

Scotland is awesome; Scots are awesome; I hope all goes well for both halves from tomorrow onward.

Alibaba goes public; amazon is one-upped and I’d care if they didn’t treat print publishers like they have Ebola; the Chinese invasion of the U.S. might seem to be financial, but strong word of caution to the excited investor who’s naivete about Chinese business, politics and IT affords them the delusional understanding it’s big business as usual on wall street.
