biking in america
I bike from my sister’s house in Bay City to my parents’ house in Long Lake in a day.

It took me 10 hours the first time last year, but only 8 hours this year.
It’s great fun and I changed this year’s path slightly to keep myself interested. I do it for fun, and from my rear-view mirror, so far I’ve not seen any American automobile drivers swerving to hit me.
Here’s some pictures of the roads I travel:
I started off on this cool bike path in north Bay County
…and head north on Huron Road until I reach Linwood–an intersection with a bank, a bar, and a bakery.
…and then north of Linwood is farmland
…and more farmland
…and then rural farmland
…and then my rest stop and water break outside of Arenac, where the usual shortcut has been detoured due to construction
…leading down long and winding roads
…and rural dirt road 4-way stops
…and then south Hale Road
…turns into north Hale Road
…which goes through Twinning
…and Whittemore, with the speedway where my dad sponsored a race car
…to the straight, rolling hills of Hale Road
…that leads into Hale
…and my arrival at the street of my parents’ house
