bash. bash. bash. hello.

Among all the criticism about China both inside and outside of China, there are some of us who live in China or have visited China and have made true Chinese friends who show us the Chinese family and the Chinese people in ways that no news company or politician can.
Some of us know that life in China is a good thing–especially if you’re a foreigner! lol
Some of us believe that life in China is just cool. It’s cool here. Sure, China has problems just like everyone else in the world, but actually life here is cool. The people are cool. The cities and countryside are cool and Beijing is really cool and the food and culture is cool. The whole collective lot is cool, people. It’s cool here. China is cool. Go ahead, dare to say it with me, “China is cool.”
Believe it or not, it’s actually not so crazy or scary to suppose that life anywhere outside the US could be cool. Alas, such an amazing thing exists! Allow me to be the first to collocate the two words “China” and “cool.”
China is cool.
To some of us who hear the endless babble of foreign confusion, China is just cool. Cool. Cool. Cool. For every foreign “news” agency that attempts to fashionably dictate their cultural values to the Chinese people or perpetuate passé stereotypes, there are those of us who say to ourselves, “yes, but China is actually pretty cool.”
