harmony is not universal, my beautiful friend

No, DJ, I object to any government selling peace to promote itself and its agenda. Any government. I recognize the clever workings and manipulations because I come from a master of manipulation: the United States.
The ironic thing is, my Chinese friends all wish to see their country at the top of world power again. I wish them well, but as that happens, you’re likely to see less of me here because I know what life is like in a country that is a superpower. 😉
And I am sure that my lovely Chinese friends don’t really know what “life at the top” is like. As China becomes more powerful, so will her problems and challenges and criticisms from all over the world. She will make decisions that piss entire nations off. She will use tactics to ensure her cultural norms and values are preserved, at the controversial expense of others. She will do as all nations do with power, and that is something my beautiful and naive friends don’t seem to include in their beautifully naive ambitions.
