Hello and welcome back! Gee I was gone from here for too long a time, but I admit that was due to fear. I was procrastinating about having to reformat and edit the pictures from my trip to America and Shenyang. Yes, I have lots of pictures of America but those are only for family. I have pictures of Shenyang that I’ll post here or at my Pictures page.
My fear was of the somewhat daunting task of formatiing and editing hundreds of pictures. It’s time consuming, as I do this one single picture at a time. However, this weekend I shut myself in and wrote a nice ToDo list and checked off everything on the list, including the picture formatting.
All was well in Shenyang. It was nice to visit the old hometown. Shenyang seems much more cozy and friendlier than Beijing. Even though it dwarfs most American cities with its population of 7 million, it has a generally smaller, hometown feel to it. I wish I had more time to visit with everyone (Hello Na) but there is only 24 hours in a day and many of my friends have lives too and our schedules don’t always sync.
So I’ll post here more regularly now that I’ve faced my fear. Grrrr!
How about a fresh start with the new seasonal picture of the view from my room.
Time for Spring! Although it looks much sunnier, it’s actually still pretty cold at night and the strong Spring winds in Beijing can kick up plenty of dust and sand. A pretty day is often enjoyed while tasting the grit in my mouth and wiping stuff out of my eyes.
